Partnered 20's Charleston:
So much partnered Charleston of the 1920's inspired Lindy movement we do today. And even in its traditional form, it can add variations and style that works so well for social dancing. Come learn some fun and challenging moves!
This class will be at the Intermediate+ level.

11am to 4pm - $40 for all 3 workshops or $18 per individual workshop.

11:15am - 12:30pm — "Lindy Hop Pizazz"
Jazz up your Lindy Hop by bringing in different elements.
You will learn jazz steps and dazzling footwork variations.
Then you will incorporate them into your social dancing.
Woweee!
This class will be at Intermediate+ level.
12:30pm - 1:45pm — "Lindy Hop Pizazz 2"
There's so much good stuff in this class it will take 2 sessions!
(You may take class 1 without taking 2, but you CANNOT take 2 without taking 1)
This class will be at Intermediate+ level.
(lunch break from 1:45 to 2:30pm)
2:30pm - 3:45pm — "Spins and Turns"
Is the room spinning faster than you are? Learn how to turn with grace and style, without getting dizzy! This class will teach you a variety of fun turning moves, for follows and leads, and put you in control of your spins.
This class will be at Intermediate level.
Saturday Location: Lake Merritt Dance Center, 200 Grand Avenue, Oakland, CA
*Please note: you must know some Lindy to take any workshop!At a bare minimum you've been dancing Lindy Hop for at least 6 solid months at a variety of tempos. You feel very confident with the basics and have already started to put the moves together and go out social dancing regularly. You look forward to really working on the quality of your basic movement and your musicality, as well as leading and following skills to make your dancing SWING. It's time to start work on connecting to the music, as well as leading and following at a more refined level.
Cost: $18 drop in per class, or $40 for Saturday (all 3 Saturday Workshops). No partner needed. Register at the 9:20 Special or at the front desk on Saturday at Lake Merritt Dance Center.
